Maeda struck out seven, ending the game with a 3.88 ERA and 1.11 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Maeda lost his perfect game bid when John Hicks led off the sixth with a line single to left center on an 0-1 slider and before the inning ended Detroit scored four for a 4-1 lead. He lost for the first time in seven starts.

Maeda struck out eight, ending the game with a 3.76 ERA and 1.13 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Maeda came into the game 0-2 with a 5.93 ERA in three starts against the Padres this season, the only team that had defeated him multiple times. He also entered the game 1-3 with a 6.89 ERA in seven starts against the NL West this season.
|Aug. 9 10:38 AM PT11:38 AM MT12:38 PM CT1:38 PM ET13:38 ET17:38 GMT1:38 10:38 AM MST12:38 PM EST1:08 PM VEN21:38 UAE12:38 PM CT-Kenta Maeda allowed one run on four hits and one walk in 5.0 innings as the Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the Arizona Diamondbacks 6-3 on Tuesday. Maeda struck out six, ending the game with a 3.69 ERA and 1.14 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Maeda might not be an ideal fantasy option because he doesn't pitch a lot of innings as he remains on a pitch count, having thrown fewer than 95 in 11 straight starts. However, he's been quite effective, giving up no more than one earned run in five consecutive outings while posting a 1.00 WHIP.
|Aug. 2 10:06 PM PT11:06 PM MT12:06 AM CT1:06 AM ET1:06 ET5:06 GMT13:06 10:06 PM MST12:06 AM EST12:36 AM VEN9:06 UAE12:06 AM CT-Kenta Maeda improved to 10-4, allowing two hits and one walk over 7.0 scoreless innings, as the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Atlanta Braves 3-2 on Tuesday. Maeda struck out six, ending the game with a 3.79 ERA and 1.15 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: In a rotation that will now contain Clayton Kershaw and Yu Darvish at full strength, Maeda has actually been the Dodgers' best starter of late. The Japanese right-hander has yielded a mere three earned runs over 22 innings in winning four consecutive outings. His next start comes against the Diamondbacks at Chase Field, where Maeda hasn't had great success with a 2-2 record and 6.41 ERA in four career visits.

Maeda struck out four, ending the game with a 4.09 ERA and 1.20 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Maeda has only made it past five innings in three of his 16 starts, but considering his 2.98 ERA at Dodger Stadium, make sure you start him at home.
|July 20 9:23 AM PT10:23 AM MT11:23 AM CT12:23 PM ET12:23 ET16:23 GMT0:23 9:23 AM MST11:23 AM EST11:53 AM VEN20:23 UAE11:23 AM CT-Kenta Maeda improved to 8-4, allowing one run on five hits and one walk in 5.0 innings, as the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Chicago White Sox 9-1 on Wednesday. Maeda struck out three, ending the game with a 4.23 ERA and 1.19 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Maeda has now allowed one run over four innings in winning each of his last two starts. Excluding his outing in San Diego on July 2, when he gave up five runs, Maeda is 4-0 with a 1.23 ERA and 0.91 WHIP in his other four starts since June 18. He is next scheduled to take the ball Monday against the Twins, and Maeda has a 1.06 ERA with a 0.94 WHIP in winning all three of his starts against AL teams this season.
|July 8 10:05 AM PT11:05 AM MT12:05 PM CT1:05 PM ET13:05 ET17:05 GMT1:05 10:05 AM MST12:05 PM EST12:35 PM VEN21:05 UAE12:05 PM CT-Kenta Maeda improved to 7-4, allowing one run on four hits and two walks in 5.0 innings, as the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Kansas City Royals 4-1 on Friday. Maeda struck out five, ending the game with a 4.38 ERA and 1.19 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Maeda is out to prove he should be in the rotation, and this outing helped the cause. He was briefly demoted to the bullpen last month but has performed well in two of three starts this month. ''Definitely it was a pressure for me going into each game,'' he said through a translator. ''Knowing a bad result can land me in the bullpen. It was a tough experience in the bullpen.'' Manager Dave Roberts said he expects Maeda to be in the rotation after the All-Star break.

Maeda struck out one, ending the game with a 4.56 ERA and 1.19 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: It sounds as though Maeda's future in the Dodgers' rotation is in doubt even though in his outing prior to this disaster, he had thrown seven scoreless innings against the Angels. "Right now, we don't know exactly when we're going to next slot him in," Roberts said. "I think it's kind of contingent on a couple other guys."

Maeda struck out six, ending the game with a 4.15 ERA and 1.13 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: It was a spot start for Maeda, who was moved to the bullpen earlier this month, but he'll get another one before the All-Star break. He's allowed just two runs in his last four games - a span of 17 innings - with one walk and 18 strikeouts.

Maeda struck out five, ending the game with a 4.70 ERA and 1.21 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Now a spot starter, Maeda did pitch effectively in his first start in two weeks. It's unclear if Dodgers manager Dave Roberts will stick with a six-man rotation for the time being, and the Japanese veteran would likely be the odd man out if he decides not to.

Maeda struck out seven, ending the game with a 5.16 ERA and 1.28 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Making his third start since returning from the disabled list, Maeda was effective but inefficient with his pitches and gave way after four innings having thrown 92 pitches. He has yet to work past the fifth since coming back from the DL on May 25.

Maeda struck out two, ending the game with a 5.21 ERA and 1.28 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Maeda spotted the Cardinals three first-inning runs for the second straight start, but once again held them scoreless after that to give the Dodgers a chance to come back. He's 3-0 in his last five starts - all Dodger wins.

Analysis: Maeda is 3-0 with a 2.84 ERA in his last four starts after posting an 8.05 ERA through his first four outings.

Analysis: Maeda was coming off his best start of the season, coming within two outs of a complete game against the Pirates on May 10 before landing on the DL the next day. After posting an 8.05 ERA in his first four outings, he has a 2.21 ERA and 0.84 WHIP with 21 strikeouts to just four walks over 20 1/3 innings in his last three.
|May 11 8:32 AM PT9:32 AM MT10:32 AM CT11:32 AM ET11:32 ET15:32 GMT23:32 8:32 AM MST10:32 AM EST11:02 AM VEN19:32 UAE10:32 AM CT-Kenta Maeda improved to 3-2, allowing two runs on five hits in 8.1 innings, as the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 5-2 on Wednesday. Maeda struck out five, ending the game with a 5.03 ERA and 1.17 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Maeda didn't go past five innings in five of his first six starts, but this is the type of performance the Dodgers are hoping to see more of.
|May 6 8:39 AM PT9:39 AM MT10:39 AM CT11:39 AM ET11:39 ET15:39 GMT23:39 8:39 AM MST10:39 AM EST11:09 AM VEN19:39 UAE10:39 AM CT-Kenta Maeda allowed two runs - one earned - on three hits and three walks in 5.0 innings as the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the San Diego Padres 8-2 on Friday. Maeda struck out eight, ending the game with a 5.81 ERA and 1.32 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: After posting a wretched 8.05 ERA over his first four starts, Maeda has now turned in two straight strong outings. He also fanned eight while holding the Phillies to two runs over seven innings last week. Though still somewhat of a risky option, the Japanese righty's arrow is pointing up heading into Wednesday's home start against Pittsburgh.

Maeda struck out eight, ending the game with a 6.58 ERA and 1.35 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: "It was great to see Kenta throw the way he did tonight," Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said. "He had clarity and he threw with conviction. He kept the ball down and he threw it tight to left-handers. He and Honey (Rick Honeycutt) had an excellent game plan going in and he executed it."
|Apr. 23 11:21 AM PT12:21 PM MT1:21 PM CT2:21 PM ET14:21 ET18:21 GMT2:21 11:21 AM MST1:21 PM EST1:51 PM VEN22:21 UAE1:21 PM CT-Maeda had another ineffective start Saturday at Arizona, where the struggling righty served up four homers and was tagged for six runs and nine hits over five innings in the Dodgers' 11-5 loss.
Analysis: Maeda has now surrendered 17 runs and allowed a troubling seven homers in 19 innings this season. It appears his rotation spot is safe for now, though he's hands-off from a fantasy standpoint at the moment.
|Apr. 16 10:07 AM PT11:07 AM MT12:07 PM CT1:07 PM ET13:07 ET17:07 GMT1:07 10:07 AM MST12:07 PM EST12:37 PM VEN21:07 UAE12:07 PM CT-Maeda was pulled after four innings in Saturday's start against Arizona after permitting four runs on five hits.
Analysis: The Japanese veteran did record five strikeouts and now has 14 in 14 innings this season, though he's been otherwise ineffective. Maeda owns a 7.07 ERA through three starts and hasn't pitched more than five innings in any of them. Considering the Dodgers' depth, his hold on a rotation spot may be a bit flimsy right now.
|Apr. 5 9:43 AM PT10:43 AM MT11:43 AM CT12:43 PM ET12:43 ET16:43 GMT0:43 9:43 AM MST11:43 AM EST12:13 PM VEN20:43 UAE11:43 AM CT-Maeda pitched five innings in his season debut Tuesday, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks in a 4-0 loss to the Padres. He struck out four.
Analysis: ''I was a little bit too excited, being the season opener,'' Maeda said through a translator. He's next scheduled to pitch Sunday at Coors Field, a place where he's gone 2-1 with a 2.12 ERA and 19 strikeouts in 17 innings.
