Analysis: It's not often you win your third straight start when allowing 13 baserunners in just six innings, but Hamels gets a pass after posting 16 innings without allowing an earned run over his previous two outings.

Analysis: After going the distance on a four-hitter in Saturday's 4-1 win at Minnesota, Hamels was equally as good in shutting down Houston's powerful offense on this night. Though he really struggled towards the end of July, the Texas ace is still 7-1 with a 3.27 ERA and eight quality starts over his past 11 outings.

Analysis: It was Hamels' first complete game since Oct. 4, 2015, when the Rangers clinched the AL West title against Los Angeles. His previous low pitch count in a complete game was 97 in 2009.
